BioHOME CEO Report

I knew to truly test my closed system, a unique location was required. One that would allow privacy, no building codes, above 5000 feet in elevation with extreme weather and temperature variables. To date, the BioHome structure has weathered very well after four years of extreme temps -20° to 115°F, super high winds and overwhelming UV. This steel and foam structure has been easy to heat and cool with very little cost of energy. People tell me that BioHome is located at the end of the world. I tell them "No, but I can see it from here."

You can build it anywhere in the world

As we look around at this time we live in, one cannot help but wonder, "how did we get here?" With all that we have discovered about our world, we still have a hard time making it a wonderful place to live.

BioHOME will survive any climate

Many years ago I decided to take care of myself, knowing someday I would reside in a sustainable, non conventional home that would be a closed system. A number of systems together that would sustain my life and lifestyle. This thinking of closed system homes frees up multitudes of resources and the most important resource of all, one's personal time.

Sustainable Living that feels like home

BioHome's power system was assembled for around $3000.00 including a 300 Watt solar panel array, a 300 Watt wind generator, a battery bank providing over 1000 amp hours and a 1200 watt modified sine wave converter. It produces all the power needed to run computers, satellite system, TV's, household appliances, lights, and power tools.

Solar and Wind power fuel the BioHOME

There is a unique BioHOME going up in Nevada by one of our home owner builders. What makes this BioHome so interesting is the way the way four 16 foot diamater and one 24 ft in diamater geodesic frames connect together to form this foot print.

If you're thinking about building a BioHome,
a unique opportunity has arisen!

Design your BioHOME in ways that would never be possible with standard
			construction

Connecting domes together in this way shows that you can be very creative in the way you shape your BioHome.

Easy to construct your own BioHOME

This is my sunken 9 ft by 9 ft concrete tub with shower. You can create anything you can visualize. Following my method of construction is so easy for the home owner builder to work with. When you decide to build a BioHOME, get ready for the adventure of your lifetime!

This year, I added an out cove fireplace in BioHOME's largest dome. This turned out to be a wonderful way to heat BioHOME during very cold outside temptress of -10°F to -15°F below zero. It did not take much wood to heat things up, and the out cove did not intrude on the inside space. Home Owner builders out there will want to think about outcoves for other uses, like closets, pantries, etc.

This is what I have in mind: it is time for human-liberation and self-reliance to come forth. We can accomplish much more by working together cooperatively than by competing with one another.

Our future is before us. The Utopian ideal speaks to something deep in us all and will someday be our common lifestyle on planet earth. The human quest for sustainable living in harmony with our environment is our common goal.

Project BioHOME is an ongoing work in progress to meet the needs of our changing world. No two BioHomes are alike; they are custom-built for their location and their owners. Sustainable high-tech, low cost homes will free up multitudes of global resources.

We will guide you through each step of your construction to make it easy. You are only limited by your pocket book and your imagination.

Greetings from BioHOME!
